Libya: Car-bomb kills 3 in Benghazi

BENGHAZI, (AA): A car-bomb explosion killed three people, including a political activist, and injured 21 others in Libya’s eastern city of Benghazi late Saturday, according to Libyan medics.
Among those killed in the attack in the city’s central Keesh district was activist Mohamed Buqaiqis, who headed an anti-corruption body.
Khalil Quwedar, a spokesman for the Benghazi hospital, said Buqaiqis – along with 17 injured people – was admitted to the hospital following the attack.

The bodies of two civilians and four injured people were transferred to Al-Galaa hospital, according to spokesperson Fadia al-Barghuthi.
No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing.
Libya has remained in a state of turmoil since 2011, when a bloody uprising ended with the ouster and death of longtime strongman Muammar Gaddafi.
